What You Need To Know Before and After Your Microneedling Treatment
Pre Treatment Care
Do not use Accutane (Isotretinoin) within 6 months prior to your laser session.
Avoid retinoids, topical antibiotics, exfoliants, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, and any sunburn for at least 5 days before treatment.
Refrain from IPL/laser treatments, unprotected sun exposure or sunburn for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
Arrive with clean skin - no makeup, lotion, oil, deodorant, powder, perfume, or sunscreen.
Post Treatment Care
Keep your hands clean when touching your face. Use a clean towel or tissue to dry your face after cleansing.
A broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) mineral sunblock of SPF 30 or higher should be applied whenever exposed to the sun.
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 1 week after the microneedling treatment.
Avoid exercise for 24 hours following the procedure.
Avoid products with active ingredients for the first 3 days following your procedure.
Resume your regular skin care regimen 48 hours after treatment and Retin A can be applied 72 hours after treatment
