Post-Treatment Care for Laser Hair Removal in Scottsdale
Oct 21, 2025

What to Expect After Your Session
It’s completely normal for the treated area to appear slightly red or bumpy, similar to a mild sunburn, for up to two hours after treatment. With proper aftercare, your skin will calm quickly and heal beautifully.
At Ecous Laser Boutique we give every client a detailed post-care guide, but here’s what you should keep in mind after your laser hair reduction appointment.
Essential Post-Treatment Care
Don’t rub, scratch, or pick the treated area. Allow any crusts to fall off naturally.
Apply moisturizer frequently or use aloe vera to soothe the skin.
Avoid shaving if swelling or scabbing is present.
If swelling occurs, use ice wrapped in a cloth.
For inflammation or scabbing, apply hydrocortisone 1% or antibiotic cream for 2–3 days.
Temporary itching or pigment changes may occur — this is normal and typically fades.
Avoid deodorants, hot tubs, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners. Always use SPF 30+ sunscreen.
Do not wax, tweeze, bleach, or use depilatories during your series. Shaving is the only approved method.
Avoid chemical peels or irritants like Retin-A or benzoyl peroxide.
Begin gentle exfoliation 2–4 weeks after treatment to help shed treated hair.
